Oxford United are to trigger an extension clause in midfielder Liam Sercombe’s contract – even though he may never play for the club again.
Liam 26 arrived at the Kassam stadium in May 2015 from league two Exeter City. Since then he has played in 101 matches scoring 22 goals.
Michael Appleton believes he will attract a transfer fee this summer.
