Manchester City Cup Tie Sold Out

|

Oxford United’s Carabao Cup clash at the Kassam Stadium against holders Manchester City is now sold out.

The quarter-final tie is the second successive League Cup fixture to be sold out after Karl Robinson’s side played in front of over 11,000 against Sunderland in round four.

Us fans secured their tickets yesterday, just hours after they went on general sale. The last-eight tie, which takes place on December 18, is also live on Sky Sports.

Oxford also welcomed City in the third round of the competition last season, with the Premier League side winning 3-0.

The U’s have reached this stage of the competition for the first time since 1988, two years after they won the Milk Cup.

This season, the U’s are currently 4th in League One and are on an impressive 13 game unbeaten run following their FA Cup first-round win at Hayes and Yeading United on Sunday.

Robinson’s side will travel to the winners of a replay between Walsall and Darlington in the second round.

And following the postponement of the League One clash against Ipswich Town, the U’s won’t return to league action until the 23rd when they travel to Southend United.
