Oxford United look set to join the battle for St Mirren midfielder, Ethan Erhahon, according to Scott Burns for the Scottish Daily Express.

League One rivals Forest Green have already seen a bid accepted for the 21-year-old but the midfielder is weighing up his options, with the U’s considering an offer.

St Mirren are hoping to extend Erhahon’s current deal but that looks unlikely, with a bid already accepted from Forest Green.

However, manager Stephen Robinson has stated he will continue to play Erhahon while he is at the Scottish club.

The central and defensive midfielder, who can also play down the left-hand side, has turned out 21 times this season for the Buddies but is yet to register any goals or assists.

The U’s had previously shown interest in the then 20-year-old prior to the summer transfer window last year, with several clubs monitoring the midfielder’s situation.
