Dave Kitson 33 6ft 3 striker has signed a 2 year contract with the yellows for upcoming season.

Dave underwent a medical this week before concluding the contract.

He was spotted by Cambridge United whilst playing for Arlesey Town whom he had joined from home town club Hitchin Town. He played 122 matches for Cambridge scoring 47 goals before signing for Reading who paid £150,000 for his services.

After playing 147 matches for the Royals scoring 60 goals Stoke City paid £5.5 million to bring him to the Britannia stadium. Whilst at Stoke he was loaned back to Reading and also Middlesborough scoring a further 10 goals in total. In 2010 he joined Portsmouth but terminated his contract in 2012 after adding another 12 goals to his tally.

Last season he played for npower league 1 club Sheffield United playing in 37 matches scoring 12 goals.

A strong player up front who can be provider as well as a prolific scorer.
