Oxford United will be looking to extend their winning run to seven games in all competitions when the U’s travel to Rochdale on Tuesday night.

Karl Robinson’s side secured their first home win over Bristol Rovers in ten years on Saturday thanks to a brace from Matty Taylor. The result extended the U’s unbeaten run to ten games in all competitions, where they have kept six clean sheets.

As for Rochdale, they are winless in their last six league games but have drawn four. Dale are 18th in League One, one point clear of the bottom four.

Marcus McGuane is an doubt for the game after picking up a thigh injury against the Gas, but the U’s have a full contingent for the trip to Greater Manchester.

For Rochdale, Jake Beesley is the only major injury doubt. Midfielder Matthew Lund has scored ten times from 24 outings, while Stephen Humphrys and Alex Newby have scored six and five respectively.

Rochdale may have scored 35 goals in League One – three more than Oxford – but only two sides in the division have conceded more than their 43.

The U’s are unbeaten against Dale in eight meetings, winning six and drawing two. Robinson’s side also won the reverse at Grenoble Road back in November 3-1.

Predicted line-up: Jack Stevens, Josh Ruffels, Rob Atkinson, Elliott Moore, Sam Long, Alex Rodriguez Gorrin, Cameron Brannagan, Liam Kelly, Jordan Obita, James Henry, Matty Taylor.

Prediction: Rochdale 0-2 Oxford United
