Oxford United return to league action this weekend when they travel to Fleetwood.

The U’s saw their match at Lincoln postponed due to the international break which included six Oxford players selected.

As for Fleetwood, they also saw a home match against Blackpool called off for the same reason.

The U’s began the month with defeat against Port Vale but Liam Manning’s side are still in a good position. The Cod Army, who welcome former Sunderland manager Lee Johnson into the dugout on Saturday, have lost their last five league games.

Oxford have their fair share of injury concerns. Ciaron Brown and Tyler Goodrham both picked up knocks while on international duty, Marcus Browne is out for a couple of months and Gatlin O’Donkor could still be sidelined with a hamstring injury. Sam Long may return but both Greg Leigh and Mark Harris are suspended following their dismissals against Vale.

Josh Earl and Jay Lynch are both absent for the hosts, while Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu is a doubt.

Since the Cod Army made it to the Football League, Oxford had a dreadful record against them, having failed to win in 12 attempts. However, under Karl Robinson, the U’s have won four of the last five, with the other being a draw. Oxford have also won on their last two visits to the Fylde coast.

Predicted line-up: James Beadle, Jordan Thorniley, Stephan Negru, Elliott Moore, Fin Stevens, Marcus McGuane, Cameron Brannagan, Ruben Rodrigues, Kyle Edwards, Stanley Mills, Sam Perkins.

Prediction: Fleetwood Town 0-2 Oxford United
