Oxford United return to league action on Saturday when they travel to Leyton Orient.

The U’s won in the FA Cup last time out against Maidenhead – a result which followed a first league win in four with victory over Lincoln.

As for the O’s, they were unbeaten in five before Tuesday’s Football League Trophy defeat against Portsmouth and have suffered just two defeats in 12 in all competitions. They are also unbeaten in their last three home league games and progressed in the FA Cup with victory over Carlisle.

Ruel Sotiriou is the O’s top scorer with six goals, while Joe Pigott has three. Former U’s player Jordan Graham has four assists but is out injured, as is another former Oxford man, Dan Agyei.

Sam Long will miss the game after picking up an injury at Lincoln and Kyle Edwards is still sidelined. Marcus Browne is close to a return. Oxford are also without head coach Liam Manning after he left to join Bristol City.

Oxford won 5-0 when the teams last met, with that game coming in the Football League Trophy last season. However, the U’s are without a win in three, including an infamous 3-2 defeat on the final day of the 2005/06 season which saw them relegated into the Conference League. Oxford are also without a league win against the O’s in seven attempts.

Predicted line-up: James Beadle, Greg Leigh, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Fin Stevens, Marcus McGuane, Cameron Brannagan, Billy Bodin, Ruben Rodrigues, Stanley Mills, Marl Harris.

Prediction: Leyton Orient 0-2 Oxford United
