Oxford United will be looking for a third league win on the bounce when the U’s welcome Northampton.

Des Buckingham’s side picked up victories on the road against Charlton and Carlisle since the turn of this new year as they look to put a consistent run of form together.

Cobblers are unbeaten in three and have lost once in their last seven, winning four. One of those recent wins came against the U’s.

Greg Leigh returned from injury against Carlisle and Buckingham could welcome back Sam Long, Stephan Negru and Josh Murphy for this match. Billy Bodin is a doubt, while new signing Will Goodwin also has a knock.

Northampton are without Tyler Magloire, Ben Fox and Ali Koiki although Louis Appere returned against Wigan.

Mark Harris took his tally to ten in all competitions with a brace in Cumbria, with Tyler Goodrham notching his seventh of the campaign.

Sam Hoskins took his tally to 13 in the league with a penalty against the Latics. Kieron Bowie, who scored last time against Oxford, is on six.

Cobblers have won the last two league meetings between the two sides but Oxford won this fixture 4-0 when they last met at Grenoble Road. However, that was their first league win in the last ten meetings.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Oisin Smyth, Joe Bennett, Cameron Brannagan, Marcus McGuane, Fin Stevens, Tyler Goodrham, Ruben Rodrigues, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Oxford United 2-1 Northampton Town
