Oxford United will be looking to end a five-game winless run when Wigan visit Grenoble Road on Tuesday night.

The U’s have drawn against Portsmouth, Reading and Blackpool in their last three games, with defeats against Barnsley and Bristol Rovers before that.

Wigan are a very inconsistent side this season. The Latics lost at home against Exeter last time out but beat Peterborough on their previous away day. That said, they have three wins from their last six league games.

Oxford welcomed back several players against the Seasiders. Jamie Cumming and Sam Long started while Josh Murphy, Will Goodwin and Billy Bodin all featured from the bench. Joe Bennet could return, as should Owen Dale, but there is still a wait on Fin Stevens and Oisin Smyth.

The Latics are without Steven Sessegnon and Liam Shaw while Matthew Smith is suspended.

Wigan won the reverse fixture at the DW Stadium. The Latics are unbeaten in their last three games against the U’s and won on their last visit to Grenoble Road.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Sam Long, Elliott Moore, Ciaron Brown, Greg Leigh, Jay Matete, Marcus McGuane, Cameron Brannagan, Tyler Burey, Owen Dale, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Oxford United 2-0 Wigan Athletic
