Ahead of Oxford United’s trip to Burton Albion on Tuesday night, we spoke to BurtonBible ahead of the game to see the thoughts of the U’s opposition.

Oxford have won just three times from 14 meetings between the two sides and lost at in the reverse fixture earlier this season, but this match last season ended in a goalless stalemate.

So, how does BurtonBible believe this encounter will go?

“The winless run was extended on Saturday, which means we haven’t won since we went into the playoffs after a win against MK Dons.

“The style of football, especially since we sold top goalscorer Liam Boyce to Hearts, has been disappointing. Lucas Akins has tried his best as a replacement but just doesn’t have the finishing that Boyce does. Another key player, Scott Fraser, has been in and out of the team with illness and knocks during this run.

“Oxford have been on a bad run recently too though, with only one win in five so it’s up to the Brewers to break out of this slump and kick start the push to the playoffs with a win.

“Prediction: Burton Albion 1-0 Oxford United”

This clearly is a must-win the game for both sides if they look to continue their playoff push, and we predicted that the U’s would scrape a 1-0 victory.

A win for either side would move them up the table, and with a busy month in store for Karl Robinson’s side, this could be an important result.
