OXFORD United have revealed their latest accounts show the club lost more than £2.4 million for the period to the end of June 2015.

This was the first year after the takeover led by Darryl Eales who’s company Ensco 1070 Ltd who owns 52% of Oxford United.

This is the fourth year in a row the club has recorded significant losses.

But this was budgeted for as Daryl Eales set about making several changes on and off the pitch.

Timing of the take over did not help then new Head coach Michael Appleton who had to make short-term measures to get the squad they wanted in place before the end of the August transfer window.

With 13 loan signings in and a total off 22 new players brought in. The club also offered settlements to several players under contract.
