Oxford United will travel to Walsall in the second round of the FA Cup after the Saddlers won the first round replay at Darlington.

The League Two side edged past the Quakers 1-0, having conceded a 97th-minute equaliser in the first game as the game ended 2-2.

Karl Robinson’s side beat Walsall 3-1 at the Bescot Stadium last season as the Saddlers suffered relegation to League Two, where Darrell Clarke’s side currently sit in 21st. But, that victory was the first in six meetings between the two sides.

The U’s eased past Hayes and Yeading United in the first round to set up this tie and Robinson’s side, who are currently 14 games unbeaten, will be looking to reach the third round for the second successive season.

The second-round tie is scheduled to be played on Saturday, November 30, with a 3 pm kick-off, but Robinson takes his side Southend United this weekend as the U’s return to League One action.
