Oxford United travel to Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

In what is a repeat of the 1986 final, which the U’s won 3-0 on their first visit to Wembley Stadium, it will also see former Oxford Dickie Rob Dickie feature against his former club for the first time since his departure two summers ago.

Oxford progressed to the second round with a win on penalties over Burton Albion, while the R’s also edged through on spot-kicks against Leyton Orient of League Two. Both games ended 1-1, with Dickie scoring for Rangers.

It will be the first time the two clubs have met in a competitive match since 1999 with QPR winning 1-0 at Loftus Road in Division 1. However, in 14 visits to West London, the U’s have picked up just two wins – coming in 1965 and 1969 respectively.

The match will take place in the week commencing August 23.
