On Thursday 14th April, the Board of Directors of The Football League approved the unanimous recommendation of its Nominations Committee that current Director, Ian Lenagan should succeed Greg Clarke as the Chairman of The Football League in June 2016.
Ian was a former chairman of Oxford United and still remains as a Director and shareholder of the club.
The appointment remains subject to the Board completing its normal governance procedures regarding senior appointments. League clubs will then be asked to ratify the appointment in the normal way at their AGM on 10th June.
