London Welsh Rugby club will find out later today if they have been successful in their appeal to be accepted for promotion to Rugby’s top flight.

London Welsh won a two legged playoff in May with one being played at the Kassam stadium home of Oxford United.

Part of the proposal is they would then ground share with the yellows for the 2012/13 season.

Oxford United fans and London Welsh fans will be anxious to find out the hearing. Along with the ground sharing the football club could benefit by sharing costs of the stadium.

This arrangement has benefitted other football clubs in the area such as Reading who share with London Irish and Wycombe who share with London Wasps.

Of course this may help financially, but will the wear and tear to the playing surface affect the team performance?
