Oxford United target Michael Olakigbe has reportedly agreed a deal to join Peterborough, with a medical scheduled for today, according to Pete O’Rourke.

However, a report by Darren Witcoop claims the U’s are still interested in the winger.

The Bees are looking to offload the 19-year-old on loan and the U’s, Peterborough and Bristol Rovers all interested parties.

Reports earlier in the window claimed Oxford were one of four Football League teams showing interest in the winger, who has made eight Premier League appearances this season.

Oxford are in desperate need of wingers, particularly right sided ones, with three currently out injured while the recall of Stanley Mills by Everton has reduced squad depth in the wide areas.

Olakigbe is clearly highly thought of by Brentford but the Bees are looking for him to get some regular football under his belt to help in his development.

So far, Oxford have seen the arrivals of Tyler Burey, Jamie Cumming and Will Goodwin but with two more days of the window remaining, Des Buckingham is looking for additional arrivals to help the U’s regain their promotion push.
