Speculation surrounded the U’s after last season with Juan Sartori expressing an interest in the U’s. OxVox’s talks with Firoz Kassam about a community beneficial stadium were then put on hold as it was thought this might hamper talks between the two parties.

Then late in preseason Darryl Eales came out stating that in the interests of Oxford United no deal would be taking place at this time. Concentration was diverted in preparations getting the U’s ready for a 2nd season back in league 1.

However with Michael Appleton moving onto Leicester and players being sold Liam Sercombe, John Lundstram and more recently Marvin Johnson millions have come into the club.

A new manager in Pep Clotet arrived who has added a foreign array of players and a promise of playing successful attractive football.

Just recently Sumrith Thanakarnjanasuth has been seen at the Kassam stadium in the directors box. He’s part of a consortium that was once majority owner of Reading football club. Earlier this year the Thai consortium sold a 75% stake to Chinese brother and sister Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li.

Could a deal be about to take place where Darryl sells, but remains as a share holder which brings in the investment which would allow the club to benefit from stadium revenue?
