Oxford United and Charlton are currently leading the race for Chelsea youngster, Mason Burstow, according to The Chelsea Spot.

Football.London also confirm the forward is drawing interest for another loan spell in the Football League.

The 19-year-old striker, who came through the academy at the Valley before joining the Blues in February 2022, returned to Charlton on loan for the remainder of the season, where he scored twice in 16 League One appearances. Burstow also added three goals in five Football League Trophy games and one in two FA Cup outings.

This season, the youngster has scored four times and added four assists from 13 Premier League 2 appearances and his performances have garnered interest from the U’s.

Last week, Oxford were also interested in another Chelsea youngster with the club reportedly looking at 19-year-old defensive midfielder, Xavier Simons.

If the U’s could land the duo, it would go some way in filling positions that need cover. The links could also be helped by former Chelsea youngster, Lewis Bate, who has excelled since his arrival from Leeds in the summer.
