Oxford Boss Shortlisted for Monthly Award Again

|

Oxford United manager Karl Robinson has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month for December.

The U’s boss, who was also shortlisted for September and October, has seen his side pick up ten points from a possible fifteen.

Despite defeat at MK Dons – the U’s first loss in 18 games – wins over table-topping Wycombe Wanderers, Lincoln City and AFC Wimbledon moved the U’s up to 2nd in League One.

The U’s first game of the month also saw a goalless draw against Shrewsbury Town, with the club conceding just two goals from five games.

Despite going unbeaten during the previous two months while nominated, Robinson failed to claim the monthly award. But although his side lost to one of his former clubs, he is yet again a favourite to win this time around.

Robinson is up against Lincoln boss Michael Appleton, John Coleman of Accrington Stanley and Gillingham’s Steve Evans.

Will it be third time lucky for Robinson when the winners are announced on Friday?
