Oxford Winger Leaves the Club

|

Following the departure of Chris Cadden, Oxford United have also confirmed that winger Oussama Zamouri has left the club.

The 23-year-old, who joined the club on deadline day, made just one appearance for the U’s in the Football League Trophy match against Crawley Town.

The winger was a free agent after leaving Dutch second-tier side Dordrecht, where he scored nine goals in 30 appearances.

He had a trial with Robinson’s side in the summer and joined the U’s on a short term deal until January.

Robinson would have known for some time that Zamouri was set to leave the club, but has revealed that despite the departure, he is still chasing a winger to join the squad during the January window.

The U’s boss has also said that he is after a midfielder as cover for Ben Woodburn, who suffered another injury set back and a right-back as competition for Sam Long.

The U’s are back in action this

weekend when they welcome non-league Hartlepool United in the third round of the FA Cup.
