OXFORD United manager Jim Smith has set his side the target of 10 wins from their final 13 games.

The Bald Eagle believes that 30 points would be sufficient for the U’s to win the Nationwide Conference title. Smith told the Oxford Mail:

‘We’ve got 13 games left and so need to win ten of them, really.

‘It was disappointing to see Dagenham win at Kidder- minster because that was a game we thought they might have dropped points.

‘The frustrating thing from our point of view is that, of those 11 games we had in that bad run, we should have won seven of them.

‘It will be a test of our character, but we have had only one away game, at Gravesend, where our character was called into question.

‘I was impressed with not just their players, but Gravesend as a team last week, so we beat a very good side.

‘We’re all hoping that was the start of another winning run, and we’re going to need it.’
