Oxford United will be looking to bounce back from successive defeats when the U’s welcome Cheltenham.

Des Buckingham’s side have come unstuck against Leyton Orient and Portsmouth in their two previous fixtures, while also drawing the previous two.

Cheltenham conceded two late goals in their Tuesday night defeat against Charlton. It means the Robins are without a win in their last four.

Oxford welcomed back Elliott Moore and Fin Stevens to the trip to Fratton Park but Tyler Goodrham and Sam Long missed out with a calf injury and illness, respectively. Tyler Burey once again failed to make the matchday squad. Will Goodwin will be looking to play a part against his former club.

Cheltenham don’t have any new injury concerns, with long-term absentee Rob Street the only unavailable player. Former U’s striker Matty Taylor makes his first return to Grenoble Road since he was released in the summer.

The Robins won the reverse fixture in Des Buckingham’s first game in charge, which Goodwin scored in. The U’s were unbeaten in their previous three, winning 4-0 in this fixture last season, but Oxford have lost two of their previous four home games against Cheltenham.

Predicted line-up: Jamie Cumming, Greg Leigh, Ciaron Brown, Elliott Moore, Fin Stevens, Jay Matete, Cameron Brannagan, Ruben Rodrigues, Josh Murphy, Owen Dale, Mark Harris.

Prediction: Oxford United 2-1 Cheltenham Town
