Oxford United are one of three League One clubs holding an interest in Coventry City midfielder Jordan Shipley, according to Football League World.

The 24-year-old has managed just two appearances for the Sky Blues this season and is yet to feature in the Championship, being an unused substitute on 14 occasions.

Coventry would be looking to loan the academy graduate out but Oxford, Bolton and Shrewsbury could look to pursue a permanent transfer, according to the report.

The midfielder has turned out 151 times for the Sky Blues, scoring 19 times and adding 14 assists, including seven goals as Coventry won promotion to the Championship in the 2019/20 campaign.

If Oxford are looking to sign the midfielder, it could raise further question marks over the future of Cameron Brannagan who has been linked with a move away from Grenoble Road.

Blackpool have already seen a bid rejected during the transfer window and have returned with a new offer, which includes defender Jordan Thorniley.
