Oxford United defender Rob Dickie has attracted interest from Championship leaders Leeds United, as reports from Football Insider would suggest.

The 24-year-old has already attracted interest from Premier League duo Southampton and Burnley, but now The Whites are hopeful of snapping up the defender ahead of next season.

Football Inisder suggest that Leeds have sent scouts to keep an eye on Dickie, but all three clubs have kept the former Reading man on their radar.

Dickie, who signed a contract extension earlier this season, has made 44 appearances for the U’s this season and has impressed in the cup competitions when Oxford faced top teams such as West Ham United, Newcastle United and Manchester City.

The defender was also a transfer target for Derby County in January, but the U’s have managed to keep hold of him for now.

If Leeds do manage to get his signature, it could be a double Oxford swoop after midfielder Cameron Brannagan was also linked with a move to the Championship side.

It would be a major blow for Robinson and the club to lose such a key asset, but it would fit with their business model of signing young, talented players and selling them for a significant fee.
