U’s pick up another point

OXFORD United put in a much improved performance but again failed to pick up maximum points during an entertaining at the Rec.

The U’s created plenty of chances and went ahead through Yemi Odubade’s strike five minutes before the interval.

Jim Smiths side came out in the second half desperately looking to double their advantage but their attacking play often left them exposed at the back.

Aldershot were to make United pay and in the 85th minute Kirk Hudson was left unmarked and he drilled a 12 yard shot into the top corner to earn Town a point.

Oxford can take heart from their performance but they need to start winning again soon if they are to win the title.
