YEMI Odubade has hit back at Aldershot manager Terry Brown’s claims that Oxford do not have the experience to maintain a title challenge.

Prior to Saturday’s 1-1 draw between the two side Brown claimed that many of Aldershot’s promotion rivals don’t have the bottle to handle the pressure of chasing a play-off place.

Odubade has hit back at Brown’s comments and believes the Aldershot boss is selling the U’s short. Odubade told the Oxford Mail:

‘We’ve got vast experience of professional football, you’ve only got to look at players like Rufus Brevett, Phil Gilchrist and Gavin Johnson, they’ve played well over 300 games.

‘And there’s Fozzie (Martin Foster) – he was at Halifax and they got through to the play-off final against Hereford last year.

‘We certainly have the experience.’
