U’s Prepare for First Friendly Match

|

Oxford United are due to play their first warm-up game later today after the club received another all-clear in a round of coronavirus testing.

The U’s were due to face an unnamed Championship club earlier this month but the game was cancelled after two individuals at the club tested positive for COVID-19.

However, the pair, who still haven’t been named, have come out of self-isolation today and can continue to be involved.

As a result, U’s boss Karl Robinson is able to name a full squad against today’s opponents. So far, the U’s have only played games against themselves since they returned from furlough.

The U’s are preparing for their League One play-off semi-final first leg against Portsmouth, which takes place at Fratton Park on Friday, July 3.

Pompey lost 3-1 against Reading last weekend but played out a 1-1 draw with Brentford yesterday.
