U’s Winger Joins League Two Club on Loan

Oxford United winger Rob Hall has been loaned out to League Two side Forest Green Rovers, but after he signed a one-year contract extension with the U’s.

The 26-year-old, who’s contract was due to expire this summer, has had an injury-hit time since he returned to the club in 2016.

But he has featured more regularly this season, helped by the U’s injury list, making 24 appearances in all competitions where he has scored six goals.

However, only three of those has he started in, and following the arrival of Nathan Holland and Marcus Browne, regular football was looking less likely.

Robinson, who has been looking to ship a couple of fringe players out on loan, told the club’s official website: “He still has a future here, that’s why we are happy to see him sign a new deal until the end of next season, so this loan works for all parties and we’ll keep a close eye on how he does.”

Meanwhile, Hall said: “I’m fit again and loving my football, but it’s difficult when you are only getting chances here and there.

“It’s great to get my future sorted for next year and I’m looking forward to joining up with Forest Green
